Fire Protection · Case Study
Project Overview
The Koropi–Paiania Wastewater Treatment Plant serves more than 100,000 residents and is a critical infrastructure facility for Eastern Attica. Designed with future expansion in mind, the plant has the capacity to serve an even larger population in the years ahead.
The Challenge
A 2.5 km underground pipeline running through a service tunnel required reliable fire protection in a challenging, remote, and demanding environment.
At the same time, the plant's electromechanical substations required reliable fire detection and fire suppression systems to ensure safe and uninterrupted operation.
Our Approach
Installed a fire detection system throughout the entire 2.5 km tunnel, providing rapid fire detection and early warning.
Installed automatic fire suppression systems in the substations, providing fast and effective protection in the event of a fire.
The Result
The Koropi–Paiania Wastewater Treatment Plant is now protected by a comprehensive fire detection and fire suppression solution, enhancing operational safety and ensuring the reliable protection of this critical infrastructure facility.
