Upon activation, the FPC compound is transformed from a solid state into a rapidly expanding, highly efficient, and effective condensed fire-extinguishing aerosol that is evenly distributed throughout the protected space. Unlike alternative fire suppression methods (such as gas or sprinkler systems), the fire is suppressed by interrupting the chemical chain reactions of the fire with negligible oxygen depletion.
